NEW YORK (AP) — Don Imus had a hot seat on the other side of the microphone Monday, appearing on the Rev. Al Sharpton’s radio show and enduring more criticism for his offensive comments about the Rutgers women’s basketball team.

Imus issued another apology for referring to members of the team as “nappy-headed hos.” Sharpton called the comments “abominable” and “racist” and repeated his demand that Imus be fired.

“Our agenda is to be funny and sometimes we go too far. And this time we went way too far,” Imus said on “The Al Sharpton Show.”

Imus said he hoped to meet the Rutgers players and their parents and coaches, and that he was grateful for the appearance on Sharpton’s nationally syndicated show. (more…)

It would seem that folks would have learned their lesson by now–White folks that is. He illegally used language that is only reserved for us. Apparently Imus lost the memo and is now facing the wrath of our “Black leaders”. He stated that he wanted to meet the Rutgers players, parents and coaches. I say, make it more interesting. He should meet them at a high school somewhere in Newark or Jersey City on a Monday night where either Sharpton or Jackson are the moderators. Also, make sure the AC doesn’t work. That way the whole community is involved (those who are familiar with those areas know what I am talking about).

Now THAT is something worth buying a ticket to see. ;)
