What are Parasites?
A parasite is an organism that lives off another organism. Parasites living inside the human body will feed off our cells, our energy, of the food that we eat, even off the supplements we take. Although there are many varieties (some 3,200) of parasites, they fall into one of two major groups: worms and protozoa, most protozoa are single-celled organisms, which are only visible under the microscope. Worms can come in all sizes, form threadworms, measuring less than one centimeter, to tapeworms up to 12 meters in length.
How common are parasites? Who’s affected?
“…studies have indicated that as much as 85% of the North American population has at least one form of parasite, and some authorities believe the true figure may be as high as 95%. Parasites are, in fact, he Center for Disease Control’s #1 health risk…â€Â
What are the symptoms of parasites?
Medical texts don’t have much to say about parasites other than stating they can cause diarrhea and malabsorption. It is important to bear in mind, however, that parasites can mimic other disorders and/or produce no noticeable symptoms. When they DO cause symptoms, a wide range can be displayed. These can include:
Diarrhea OR constipation
Digestive complaints (gas, bloating, cramps)
Irritability/nervousness
Irritable bowel syndrome
Persistent skin problems
Overall fatigue
Disturbed sleep
Anemia
Muscle cramps
Joint pain
Post nasal drip
Teeth grinding
Prostatitis
Sugar cravings
Ravenous appetite (or loss of appetite)
Allergies
Rectal itching
Brain Fog
Bed wetting
And more…..
The above information is from a pamphlet entitled “STOP: Parasites are a serious health concern” by Dr. Brenda Watson
Parasites can come from sources such as meat, fruits and vegetables, pet, mosquitoes, etc.
There is one point that I need to make here. Just because you may eat meat that has been thoroughly cooked does not mean that it is parasite free. Unless the meat you eat came straight out of the meat market in heaven, you can count on the fact that most of the foods that we eat like the ones mentioned earlier contain a level of parasites.
So are you saying that we can’t eat ANYTHING?
That is exactly right. You must starve, starve, STARVE! HAHAHAHAHA (insert evil laugh) . No, don’t be silly. Of course we can still eat meat, vegetables, etc. This is why it is very important to follow a bowel/colon-cleansing diet on a regular basis (maybe every 3 months to every 6 months). This is the very reason why the old folks used to preach to us the importance of being “regular†if you know what I mean (does Castor oil ring a bell with anybody?). If you are not having a bowel movement at least twice a day, rest assured that your body has potentially become a parasite paradise.
This is also one of the main reasons why men (especially black men) have a high rate of contracting prostate cancer . If we spend a lifetime asking the question “where’s the meat†every time we sit at the table and not cleanse our system on a regular basis, then all of those parasites just chill inside the prostate for years until finally they develop into something worse.
