This is one of my personal favorites. If you ever have a headache, ginger is the best choice. I usually buy my ginger in the international food store in my town, NOT WAL-MART. It has been my experience that the ginger root that you find in stores like Wal-Mart are not only smaller, but way too expensive. Besides, I use the time in the international food mart to expand my horizons a little bit by looking at some of the other rather unique food products and produce.
I usually use ginger root to make tea. All I do is chop up a couple of the roots into small chunks and let them boil in a sauce pan for about 3-5 minutes. Then I turn off the heat and let the ginger sit in the water for about 45 minutes. Once this is done, the tea is ready. I use honey as my sweetener.
