Press Release – Fresh on the heels of his newly released book, “Home Hair Care Help,” stylist and researcher, Dirk Evans, launched a website to answer many of the questions African American women have about proper hair care. This hair industry veteran has spent the last few years slimming down his client list to devote more time to his research; and this website reflects that devotion.
The website is a one-stop shop for women’s hair care needs. Visitors can peruse the website to purchase the guide, “Home Hair Care Help”, purchase styling and maintenance products, receive expert advice and the latest hair care information-usually shared only between hair care industry professionals. When asked what sets his website apart from others, Evans’ responded candidly, “the truth; there are plenty of African American women that know very little about proper hair care, that’s who I want to reach.”
African American women spend millions yearly on health and beauty services, so as a stylist and hair care consultant Evans wanted to give those women their money’s worth: expert hair care advice at a fraction of the cost of a single salon visit.
Evans, a Michigan cosmetologist and former educator for Soft Sheen/Carson has lectured extensively educating hair care professionals and novices alike. In addition to lecturing and servicing his clients, he has spent the last several years conducting research on trichoanalysis.
