Last night, my family and I watched Chris Hansen’s “To Catch a Predator” where child predators are caught on camera in the process of making contact with a “minor” who they met in an online chatroom (the minor of course is an adult who is playing the role of a child).
What I found a bit interesting was that many of the individuals that were apprehended had actually either watched the show or were fully aware that sting operations of this nature did exist. One guy said that he was a fan of the show.
Bottom line, these guys knew the risks and STILL decided to make the gamble.
Popular justice suggests that we lock these folks up and throw away the key.

For years the public has been educated over and over again over the dangers of having sex without the use of a condom (outside of marriage). Yet folks STILL decide to make the gamble and in many cases, loose (especially if they are Black) by either getting AIDS themselves or spreading this deadly disease to other individuals.
Popular justice suggests that we continue to “educate”.
There is not enough funding in the world that will boost common sense.
