sod The Jews Alright, time to put this out on the table.

We all know that that there has been a strong undercurrent of resentment towards Jews in the black community for a very long time. Comments are oftentimes made on the DL that blame Jews for black “oppression” in one form or another. The questions before you today are: “Could you describe a bad encounter you had with someone that was Jewish?” Also add the amount of bad encounters you had with them in your life.

If you are one of those people who like generalizations because you honestly never had that kind of experience, this next question is for you: “Could you describe how the black race is currently being oppressed by Jews?” Here is the one condition–YOU MUST SUBSTANTIATE YOUR OPINION WITH FACTUAL DATA.

I will be honest enough to say that I have never had a bad encounter with a person I knew to be of the Jewish faith. My issue with Jewish leadership is within the Middle East. I still do not understand why they feel that the Palestinian people do not belong. The casting out of Jews happened during the biblical times. That does not give them the right to come back centuries later and claim the land because Hitler was a mad man and attempted to exterminate them from the planet. I feel for those that went threw the holocaust and lost family and friends and the like. But it will never compare to the struggle that we as blacks in America contend with from a little thing called slavery. But to your question. There is a distrust of Jewish people in the black community because they are seen as the holders of money. In our community and in America we are taught that money is power. We also see that prior to the Koreans they owned many business in our neighborhood. I donÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t believe that people of the Jewish faith are any more responsible for the plight of the black man than any other white person in America.

I grew up in a small college town and had no bad experiences with Jews. Our family was friends with Jewish families, and I had Jewish playmates. My nephew is half Jewish with grandparents in Israel. I had a crush on a Jewish girl in grade 7. Still I cannot understand why Israel does what is does.

Some question we need to ask, why were the Jews expel and killed, are they the real jews of the old testament, do they run this country, look at the last names of those that run the government? After these questions has been answer maybe can make a intelligent statement concerning Jews.

Eugene is right on this one. Africans were selling each other into slavery to Europeans long before Christian missionaries arrived on the continent. I could really elaborate on this for you, but that would take some time. Here is a good place to start your research into the matter:

While the Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, English and French slave traders were often brutal, they were not always working alone — many Africans were also complicit in this victimization. Precolonial empires such as Dahomey and Ashanti (located in what is now Benin and Ghana), where slave ports at Ouidah and Elmina flourished, accumulated enormous wealth and power as a result of the trade of their fellow Africans. (this was taken from a PBS documentary on the history of slavery. There are other places you can look as well, but this is just a start)

I beg to differ.

I may not agree with a point of view, BUT if someone can prove that their point of view is not based on opinion/selective facts, but FULLY factual, that person/persons should have their say and the rest of us should listen. If we were to just duel opinions on this site, we would get nowhere but fuel division amongst an already very divided people.

This is a terrific site, and asks a good question.

The consensus seems to be that Israelis, not American Jews, are the international culprits. While no one can dispute what is said in the Bible, we all can dispute the interpretation that Israel is allowed to trample the Palestinians underfoot. The Israeli leadership has also encouraged Fundimentalist Christians in their “End Times” interpretation. As they have done for decades in the US and England, others fight their fight for them. It’s nuts, and until the US government starts standing up to our “51st State”, we will continue to shed gallons of blood – Black and White – in the Middle East.

Since the People can be traced back to Africa, I think that all People of Color are the “Chosen One.”

I have never had a bad personal experience with a Jewish person. I have attended school with them, lived with them, visited Israel numerous times, shared religious holidays in family homes in Israel, am reading the Jewish version of the old Testament called, TANAKH, had discussions with one of the founding members of the present State of Israel, attended a meeting in the Knesset and witnessed Israeli and Palestinian women wrestle with the issue of a peaceful resolution to their conflict, even help in the preparation of a bomb shelter in the apartment building. And, yes, one of my best friends is Jewish.

With the exception of their treatment of the Palestinians and their monopolist control of both the film and music industries; I have no problem with them at all.

I’d even go far as to say that their paradigm for survival is worth emulating. They have a social contract that stresses education, economic self sufficiency, political influence,family and God. They take care of their own by any means necessary and spent at least 60% of their national budget on defense…Stop playin’

Please, support historically black colleges.They need us and we need them.

Surely no one can say that the Palestinians were not treated badly by the Israelis. This was a vibrant community that put a lot of professionals into their fields. After Israel became Israel due to British and American Zionists, the boot of oppression was put on the neck of the Palestinians. Other mid-east nations are criticized for not taking in these refugees. Maybe they share the guilt, but not as much as the Zionists.

‘Terrorists’? For fighting an oppressor? Was Nat Turner a terrorist?

And I happen to LOVE fried chicken.

The Holy Qur’an teaches us in Chapter 5 verse 20-21 : 5.20: And when Musa said to his people: O my people! remember the favor of Allah upon you when He raised prophets among you and made you kings and gave you what He had not given to any other among the nations. 5.21: O my people! enter the holy land which Allah has prescribed for you and turn not on your backs for then you will turn back losers. Verse 26 goes on to say: 5.26: He said: So it shall surely be forbidden to them for forty years, they shall wander about in the land, therefore do not grieve for the nation of transgressors. Palestinians use their holy book to prove that the land belongs to them. They believe that what they are going through right now has been prophesied. The point is no matter which way you cut it. Both believe that they belong there. Palestinians are willing to share and equal part of the land but they will not be ruled over. Think about this for a moment. If the Native Americans decided that this was our land first and we want it back after all this time. Would Americans say okay? Then why should the Palestinians says okay when the Jews had been out of the land since 1050 BC.

Because as of yet Israel has not been willing to accept the power sturcture that the Palestinians people have chosen. Therefore have no compromise has been made. How nice you didn’t comment on the point of the Native Americans.

I wasn’t avoiding that point. I just commented on the first thing that immediately stuck out to me ’cause I am doing several things at once on this end. But since now I have a few minutes…

If the Native Americans decided that this was our land first and we want it back after all this time. Would Americans say okay?

Of course not.

Then why should the Palestinians says okay when the Jews had been out of the land since 1050 BC.

Now I have read this part several times. Do you have something in reverse here?

Good dialogue. It does make me wonder how many contributors are actually Jewish white folks.

If anyone thinks that the Palestinians were treated with the dignity and respect that they deserved as the occupants of the seized land for almost 2,000 years, they just are not being realistic.

The ghettos of the “refugee” camps were set up by the Zionists. No wonder these people revolted.
