AMEN brother mindfunk. That is the song I have been singing for years. What we as a people need to understand is that the Democratics are likd the slave masters wife. She is nice to you, treats you with respect but at the end of the day she still owns you. We have got to look at all the issues. Republicans are about money. Econimic empowerment. We need to stand up and say hey if you want my vote show me the money. Democrates would have us to believe that we are just a step away from freedom and they will show us the way. Hey black folks we already free now start acting like it.

Tracy, thanks for the great post!

I have to admit that I, like many of my family members, have contributed to the marginalization of our own people. We have always been a guaranteed Democratic votes even though most of their platforms in the past years have not been very pro-blacks. For example, the school vouchers would have helped our kids tremendously, yet we helped defeated it. Our "Black leaders" condemned the bill as a tool to divert money from public schools but they sent their kids to private schools. Please prove me wrong and find a so called "black leader" who had sent his kids to public schools.

Another example, privatizing social security would also benefit blacks but we bought in to "our party" talking points and defeated that idea as well.

On the illegal immigration debate, Ted Kennedy equates the struggle to the Civil Rights Movement. How dare he? This is crossing the line for me. Our ancestors were brought here in chains against their will. These illegals came to this country by will, and they dare to compare that to the struggle of our people?

I have been buying the party's line for way too long now, it's time to exercise the privilege that my ancestors had fought and died for--vote with the interest of my people in mind!

It is NOT true however that I was that Black guy on the Grassy Knoll nor that I receive radio transmissions from Jesuit Central through my teeth.

I know that 'Dolphin' attended St. Mary's Cathedral and was an altar boy for Father flannigan... And they had a powerful relationship. Dolphin and Father Flannigan deserve better.
Yo PK who cares about any of that conspiracy theory crap when in the end (of our lives that is) we all will meet a form of death. We need to be more open minded and truly understand that no matter what or how it got here or there WE ARE HERE to see if unfold or to go down with America. Our main focus should not be on whos peeking in our window but on how we will survive. I find your point of view very limiting and it almost denies the fact that we still have to work just as hard to make sure our needs are being met. You sound like DOC and you probably know who I'm talking about except he always acknowledges the fact that things will occur as they should. The histrionics are only basic essentials as we write the pages of the book of our future. How can it destry our since of nationhood when we are doing that ourselves by not doing for ourselves and your one world goverment is not as evil as it is made out to be that was pointed out as a fact that will take place. BUT MAKE NO MISTAKE WE PLAY A HUGE ROLE IN OUR DEMISE OR OUR ADVANCEMENT. The church lies (all churches) were a fundamental step in our walk into consciousness. We will advance into being the soul controllers (controlling our souls therefore our physical, mental and spirtual realities no matter how long it takes or how much bull we uncover that is an undeniable and natural phenomenon that is occuring. So the past to me is just that the past and the future is planned but undecided and we need to focus on whats taking place now and stop hating a people who are our closest kin for a situation that was bound to happen of which I still don't see 40 plus million of us(black americans) not becoming conscious no matter how long that walk into conscioussness may take.

"The Empire never ended" .. PHILLIP K. DICK "VALIS"

If anyone here wants to wake up from the Matrix .. research these links ..

Have you ever wondered why so many AMERICAN PRESIDENTS belonged to secret socieities, Freemasonry, skull and bones? ...

You may not be aware that before the american revolution the british made it very difficult for catholics to come here. Many came, though, but they had to pretend to be protestant .. the term for this is CRYPTO CATHOLIC. Insects sometimes mimic their prey to get an advantage over them or mimic an enemy species to remain safe among them. The Rockefeller family is Crypto Catholic, also the BUSH family and many others. Hollywood is controlled by catholics by the way. The jews are just fronts.

Here are some interesting areas of research. I know alot of you will think this post is stupid or crazy, but its reality .. I wish it wasn't.

If you ever listen to ALEX JONES (prisonplanet) .. he will tell you 99% of the truth but when it comes ot who's behind it all .. he'll tell you its satanic owl worshippers!

Here is a link to info about ERIC PHELPS .. he claims there is a black pope(not literally) and that the jesuits are behind the whole NWO organization. He's a little "different", but has some interesting information.

http://www.whale.to/b/phelps_q.html

Don't just belive me .. Please research this on your own. You will find that BILL CLINTON(supposedly a Baptist) attended GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY ( a jesuit college**) .. you can research about how The Jesuits tried to take over Japan ... that's why the japanese isolated themselves from the outside world for hundreds of years .. admiral perry had to take gunships to open up trade with them (little did the japanese know that the UNITED STATES was controlled by the same crooks that tried to steal their country in the first place).

http://www.whale.to/b/phelps_q.html

Also, read Tupper Saussy's book "Rulers of Evil" and learn about how he discovered who really founded the United states of America(the loyalists were the good guys, if you get my drift) ..

"What he discovered was valuable new proof of a vast Roman Catholic sub-stratum of American history -- more specifically, that Jesuits played eminent and underappreciated roles in persuading New Englanders to rebel against their mother country in 1776. Indeed, according to Saussy's groundbreaking discoveries, the American Revolution and its resulting constitutional republic may have been single-handedly designed and supervised by a Jesuit named Lorenzo Ricci -- this country's true founding father.Provacative and utterly compelling, Rulers of Evil analyzes the hundreds of historical clues left by the true leaders of the world. It should be read by anyone desiring to know, definitively, why America works the way it does."

The mexican invasion is their plan to Destroy our sense of Nationhood and bring about global government. They may have to stage another terror attack, or biological attack to do it. Black leaders are for the most part part controlled by the same people the white leaders are controlled by. They won't do anything to stop this stealth invasion ... its in their financial interest not too.

**The Jesuits are a catholic sect set up to counter the protestant reformation.

This, from today's Washington Post is about "the movement".

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/04/08/AR2006040801287_2.html?nav=rss_email/components

We can complain to each other, or we can complain to our elected representatives. Do 'our representatives' include the CBC? It doesn't seem so.

Congress is on its two week Easter vacation, but they will show up at their offices. We have to vistit them, call them, email them.

Any other suggestions?

Whether enslaved or recruited labor for the transcontinental railroad, the sugarcane plantations, or the agricultural industry on the West Coast we all have something in common...but as usual Duane et all can't see it.

First of all the government is not this big giant hiding in the hills so guess what it can be dealt with and our needs can be met if we are about seeing them met and meeting them ourselves. I think its disrespectful to even compare our standard of living today to slavery. We have made progress people. Its as Michael Eric Dyson said nowadays you either have the big dollar (over 900 billion spent by blacks) or you have the big vote and we have lost the big vote ever since we started voting so that leaves the mobilization of the black dollar. If you think the dems are for us you are nuts and the same is to be said about the republicans. We have to learn to compete on another level but too many of us don't see todays enemy so we are increasingly illiterate and not taking advantage of opportunities that can be created through business, but with that said we still are way better off than the actual slavery days. And the way a lot of you sound, ya'll(east texan) seem willing to accept being slaves thats crazy to me. The only way we will slip back into that situation is if we let it happen. FOR, HOW WOULD OPPRESSION EXIST IF THE PEOPLE DIDN'T GIVE IN TO OPRESSION TO A CERTAIN EXTENT. I know I refuse to be a slave again and it will never come back to those days in my mind. Our view of ourselves is so damaging and that hurts us more than any form of slavery could. Get on your grind and educate yourself to the many economical ways we have to fight or forever be victimized.

Where is the leadership of the African American community when it counts these days? The issue of ILLEGAL immigration has gripped the nation for the past few weeks and it’s infuriating to see that the elected officials and political pundits have been completely inadequate in expressing the concerns of the African Americans they claim to represent. The Congressional Black Caucus is a disgrace in its failure to raise the arguments against ILLEGAL immigration. Juan Williams, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Earl Ofari Hutchinson, the SCLC and the rest of the self appointed voice of Black America have also sold Black people out and let them down.

How could they remain silent when throngs of protesters took over the streets of Los Angeles and other cities across the country to denounce ILLEGAL immigration reform? The crowd was warmly received by LA Mayor Antonio Villaragosa on the steps of City Hall. He assumed a posture of sympathy to their cause, “I come to you today, Mayor of the city of Los Angeles, to welcome you, the immigrants, who built this city, God bless you,” Villaraigosa said. The crowd roared and chanted "Si, se puede,” Spanish for, “Yes, it can be done.” They waved the Mexican flag and signs calling for “Amnestia”.

They said they were marching for their parents, their relatives, for Mexico and for Cezar Chavez. One by one, Hispanic elected officials and community leaders stoked the crowd that LA Spanish radio delivered after days of counseling their listeners on their ‘responsibilidad’. "This is the new civil-rights movement,” said Maria Elena Durazo, a top Los Angeles labor leader. Nothing could be further from the truth but the gangs of self-righteous truants ditched school for days after the rally and by the end of the week they were trying to block traffic on the 101 Freeway.

The mass gatherings seem to have shamed the American pubic and the vote-hungry legislature into bowing to their demands for leniency on ILLEGAL immigration because of their loud cries of racism and the news media ate it up. The frenzy of coverage was sympathetic and pulled on the heartstrings of humanity and inclusion. All that ‘melting pot’ rhetoric that taints anyone whose views can be spun into racism is a catch-22 for African Americans. Since the Civil Rights Movement of the Sixties was the fight against the denial of supposedly inalienable legal rights of African American citizens, it’s a cruel irony that today’s Black leadership stands in silence while its cause is hijacked.

True, the corrections to the Constitution that were made on behalf of Black people benefit all Americans but let’s not lose sight of the reason the Civil Rights Movement was necessary: Slavery, Jim Crow, voting Rights atrocities, the terrorism of KKK and the lack of the government on the local, state and Federal level to protect, educate and provide services tax paying citizens simply because of their race. It’s despicable that the Hispanic protesters and their illegal relatives would use the progress that Black people fought for against them?

Any tax-paying American citizen, regardless of the race or national origin, who has any understanding of Economics can see that ILLEGAL immigration undercuts the economy for everyone, not just Black people. American tax payers have had to foot the bill for 11 million ILLEGAL aliens since we ‘absorbed’ them the last time. In 1994 Proposition 187, that would have denied ILLEGAL immigrants social services in California, was passed by voters but was later overturned by the courts. Too bad no American president has had the brilliant idea of forwarding the social services bills to President Vincente Fox.

Bush is warm to the illegal immigration for the same reason as the rest of the politicians: the coveted Hispanic vote (No one has informed Bush that ILLEGALS can’t vote unless the GOP knows something we don’t). What I can’t understand is why Hispanic voters and their misguided elected officials can’t see that ILLEGAL immigration is the Federal government’s way of subsidizing the farm and constriction industries with cheap, uneducated workers, willing to do ‘stoop labor’(today’s euphemism for slavery) at half the going rate. Their ILLEGAL compadres are plundering the accomplishments of the Mexican American immigrants who came here legally.

Hispanic leaders are selling out the memory of Cezar Chavez and his followers should be disgusted as well. Mr. Chavez was a third generation American citizen whose family was forced into migrant farm work when they lost their farm after a drought. He fought tirelessly against ILLEGAL immigration in his quest to organize farm workers. He knew the economics of ILLEGALLY importing cheap, unskilled labor. It keeps wages down and gives the employer the opportunity to exploit the workforce with impunity. Mr. Chavez picketed the offices of the I.N.S. and led United Farm Workers in marches and demonstrations against ILLEGAL strike breakers with squads of men that patrolled the borders much like the Minutemen of today.

The only benefit from the demonstrations was a chance for the American public to see the magnitude of the problem. Those throngs of kids represent the masses of people that the American tax payers have had to make room for in our schools, clinics, hospitals and as evidenced by the recent outbreak of race riots in California, our prisons. (One of the reported causes of the race riots is the fact that the Hispanics outnumber the Blacks by about 2:1) Mexican president Vicente Fox is unsympathetic to the negative impact of the flood of uneducated people to the US as evidenced last May by his incendiary comment that, “...there is no doubt that Mexicans, filled with dignity, willingness and ability to work are doing jobs that not even blacks want to do there in the United States.” Fox appears to be in the same time warp as his uneducated citizens crawling over the border to escape the ill-effects of his laughable excuse for a government. The truth of the matter is that African Americans never came here willingly to be slaves as his people are, so why would they want to continue claiming slave labor as their own once they fought to desegregate public education?

There appears to be no love lost between Blacks and Mexicans. The Reverend AL Sharpton says that, “illegal immigrants,” are "the closest thing to a slave you can be.” So why isn’t he voicing his opposition to the encouragement of modern slavery? Sadly, Black and Hispanic leaders have each made the wrong choice in the unavoidable question that politicians face in a ‘melting pot’ society: Do they owe allegiance to the race or the cause? Both factions have allowed big business capitalists to use America’s disease of racism into perpetuating, however euphemised, modern day slavery.

The Mexican people are no different from any other and I’ve met my share of people who came here seeking a better life. What sets the ILLEGALS apart is their obnoxious sense of entitlement. I’ve asked the multitude of legal immigrants that I’ve worked with over the last 20 years of I.C.U. Nursing the same questions and no matter what their national origin, whether it be Karachi, the Phillippines, Saudi Arabia, India, Nigeria, Indonesia, Cameroon or Syria, they ALL admit that it would have been much easier for them today if they’d had the opportunity to sneak over the border instead of applying for a VISA and going through the long process of legally immigrating to the US from the other side of the world. More interesting is that every person I’ve asked now thinks in English and not the language they spoke in their country of origin.

It makes me wonder what U.S. healthcare would be like today if all the Phillippino nurses had refused to learn English and demanded that the nursing board exams be translated into Tagala. As evidenced by the US Nursing shortage of crisis proportions, they are only taking jobs that Americans won’t. That demonstrates another difference, most Mexican ILLEGALS show up uneducated, unwilling to learn English, with the goal of stealing the ‘American Dream’ with an arrogant disregard for the weight they bear of the backs of the American tax payers.

I say, build the wall. Then, electrify it.

If this issue does not put fire to the behinds of our kids to work harder and <strong>SMARTER </strong>in school, they will do nothing but perpetuate the culture of "whine" that blames the system for everything. As parents/adults, we have to make sure we are pushing our kids into a mindset of ownership, not OWEnership.

Listening to other black cultural groups that come to this country, work hard and <strong>smart</strong>, develop support networks that stretch across the Atlantic and around the world tells me that as blacks here in the United States, we can accomplish the same things just as long as we stop looking to politics for all of our problems.

The DC political machine is about its own survival. Votes are the fuel that this machine needs in order to survive. No doubt the emerging Latino vote has the political world salivating--not because politicians are in a hurry to represent the needs of this group, but so that they can stay in office for another ump-teen years. Both sides are in search for a group that will <em>collectively </em>hand them a vote--just like blacks have done for years. The larger the group, the sweeter the reward. And like Dolphin pointed out, the Latino population is soaring in number.

Rather than worry about "them", whomever "they" may be, it makes much more sense to act on the golden rule: "those with the most gold rule", and work on collecting our own assets.

Thinking about the diaspora as a whole can help one to realize the great extent of captial; social, political, geographic, infrastructure, creative..etc.. that Blacks have today. It is simply a matter of excercising wisdom, and will, to reach our personal and collective goals..

No one will be able to stand in the way of an idea whose time has come, and now the idea is the latinization of the USA.

Brian -

40 million folks aren't going anywhere. The problem is that they are being ignored and neglected as a matter of course.

Last week, a friend in all seriousness asked me how the Latinos could put that many people together and not have any looting.

If the Latino community can get the political influence that we can't, whose fault is that? The Black community seems committed to remaining at the bottom of the socio-economic heap.

On the positive side, that keeps Jesse and Al in the big bucks.

Damn, it's frustrating!
