As many of you may already know, I recently started another website called The Afro Informant. Because I have been tweaking the look/feel of BlackInformant.com, I decided to stop all activity on the other site until I was finished here. I also decided to use the same template (just with different colors) which meant I had to make even more changes.
I created The Afro Informant mainly for black Americans (like myself) and others who want to familiarize themselves on some of the issues around the African Diaspora, but may feel a little bit intimidated because of lack of understanding of these other cultures. For other readers who feel “at home” on the current events around the Diaspora, direct links to news wires and other sources are provided for you.
The posting cycle on The Afro Informant will be much slower than this site so that visitors can have the opportunity to absorb the issues.
Instead of reading commentaries mainly from me (because my knowledge of the issues around the African Diaspora is very limited in comparison to those who actually live in these other cultures), you will get to read commentaries and insights from bloggers and others who have a pretty good understanding on the issues. Readers who wish to add their insights on these issues are greatly encouraged to share your knowledge.
I hope you enjoy this new addition to the BlackInformant.com family as much as I enjoy gathering this much needed information.
Today’s posting on The Afro Informant is on the internal government corruption in Kenya as well as the illegal dealings between the Kenyan government and western nations.
