Isn’t it amazing how one person of courage can make such a profound mark on humanity?
I’m not black so her courage didn’t effect my being able to sit where ever I want on a bus. However her courage did effect the society I was to to be born into 13 years later.
I figure that she effected my life in a positive manner because she helped to change American society for the better.
May she rest in peace, God knows she earned it.

I have always respected this woman for taking a stand during those times. As a child of the South in the late 50′s and 60′s, I know first hand what it was like to be spat on, cursed at, and called degrading names , all because of my skin color. I am so thankful that this woman went beyond her fear and “sat down” for her human rights. May she be an example to all of us. Though we must forgive what happened in the past, we should never forget the people God used to give us hope for a better future.
