Each local church holds a meeting of the session (members of the local church) and we vote of the budget, including the pastor's salary. I assure you that my pastor's salary is very modest. Our national budget is also published on the web. The issue you raise is a serious one and any church member should investigate how the church finances are being used. We are all accountable to God for our finances, including our tithes and offerings for sound use.
