Old issues that are still making the rounds
on January 8th, 2008 at 3:03 amThe last time I was on the radio, it was a bit of a challenge for me. Here I was a 37 year old man, father, husband, entrepreneur together with an accomplished author of several books, screenwriter, etc. and another responsible adult talking not about the goings-on in the financial sector, not about the records of presidential hopefuls. Instead the main topics of discussion covered (sigh!) light-skin vs. dark skin and our thoughts on a man who wrote a song about wanting to be White.
While browsing through flickr a while ago, I came across a collection of scanned Jet magazines from back in the early 1950′s (images belong to vieilles_annonces‘. Check out the rest of her photo collections). I am going to post here just a few of them just as an illustration that some things just will never change.
These clippings are from 1952.

Tell me you have not either took part in or heard any of these conversations in the last few weeks.
