Autauga County School Board Reaches Deal in Teacher Sex Case
PRATTVILLE, Ala. (AP) – The Autauga County Board of Education and the parents of six children who were touched improperly by a former substitute teacher have settled a personal injury suit brought against the board.
The former substitute, 62-year-old Terry Wright, last year pleaded guilty to seven counts of first-degree sexual abuse and is in prison. (more…)

POMONA – A teacher at a school in Arcadia pleaded not guilty Tuesday to five charges of lewd conduct with a minor.

Ex-teacher SFHS may have had sex with another
STUART — A report by the Indian River Crime Laboratory indicates former South Fork High School history teacher Shawn Trotter, may have had sex with at least two persons in a closet of his class room last January.
Trotter is charged with having sex three times with a 16-year-old student in January of this year. His contract was not renewed with the school and he is free on $75,000 bond at his Vero Beach home. Trotter has entered a plea of innocent and has requested a jury trial. He is represented by Vero Beach attorney Nicole P. Menz. (more…)
