They're not panicky yet; just concerned. The two explanations I hear most often from friends whom live in D.C. are: 1) he didn't vet his picks before the public, 2) many of his appointments don't have much in the way of credentials. It seems that most people understand his cabinet/inner circle picks are his prerogative and are cutting him slack as the FNG. But, he'd better produce positive results or he'll be sent back to tending old folks' estates.
