One of the purposes of this website is to shed light on those issues that have been in the dark for too long and are longing for us to deal with them once and for all. Although I do enjoy reading and promoting our successes on this site, I also realize that I must also address those things that we have been neglecting in our community. To some, this automatically makes me a race hater because I do not take the usual “blame the white man” or “blame the system” approach. To others, I hope this site serves as a wake up call that will mobilize you to action to help rebuild the values that our grandmas and granddaddies have vested into us so many years ago.
This weekend, I will be doing some “clean-up” on this site. For starters, I will be reviewing all the links to your right to make sure they are still working and worth the click. Another thing I will be doing is adding links that will focus on issues that have not been getting enough attention in mainstream media. I will start with two areas: Elder care, and Foster care ( I would love to see blogs done by us that discuss these particular areas specifically. Hopefully someone will run with that.) . In addition to these link topics, I will be writing more on these topics to bring more attention to these very important issues. As always, if you wish to submit your writings and/or related links on these topics and others, please feel free to do so.
I have grown tired of swatting flies. Now it is time to start removing the dead carcases of politics and endless debate that have been lying in our community for years.
