You know, I understand all the hoopla about black men not beeing in the household while the children grow up. I was there for mine for 21 years and still there with all five and most of the time I want to be a statistic and run like a bat out of hell. Three of them are 21, 19 and 16 years of age, lazy, dissrespectful and the oldest doesn't have a clue. If my beeing there caused this I should have left a long time ago. It easy for black people to say things about black men and label us and blame the bad kids on us. I have some kids that think they have to live my life instead of there's. Some times I don't even speak to them cause they don't listen to anyting I say, I know they don't have boyfriends cause there always home, they stay home eat all the food don't buy anything exept cloths and hair products. They drive my 9 year old son crazy, I'm afraid he might run out on his wife and kids because of his sisters. Women are really from mars, I say that because my wife doesn't hear me, she doesn't back me up when I have things to say about the prescious angels. I can go on an on "but I won't cause I'm tired of talking about this.
Somebody, meaning a black family man please tell me what to do so I can go home after work and be contint.

Yes, bringing morality back into the Black community will solve many problems. Then the vicious cycle that is initiated when men/fathers/husbands (and women/mothers/wives) shirk their responsiblities can be stopped.

Not being judgemental, but my first child was born one year after my wife and I were married. I knew that there was no way I would bring children into the world without being able to properly follow through.

I have but one mission in life. Bring morality back to the black community. If we start there a lot of other stuff will fall into place. Yes men are running out. But guess what. If you didn't lay down in the 1st place then who would they have to run out on. I made it clear to my husband what type of relationship he was getting into. Yes many men before him left after the 1st date. But those are the same men that would have left after the baby was born.

I choose to think responsibly before, during, and after sex so that I am mentally prepared for the outcome if I impregnate a woman. I refuse to be a dead beat dad and enough brothers don't say this or choose to be ignorant to the responsibilities of sex. I grew up with both my parents in the home, though I'm not largely successful I know that it was a good thing to have that balance in our home.

I think taking responsibility and at first being responsible is not spoken of enough in the households. No its not the systems fault that she chose to be a stripper.
