Have you been helped by at least one of these groups?

I am simply asking this question because for years I have heard of these groups, heard of their conventions, seen their leaders, but I am not able to find everyday individuals who can single handily tell me that they have benefited from these groups in any way within the last 30 years. I am quite certain that there are some good stories out there, but to tell you the truth I do not come across them too often. If you have personally benefited from one of the groups listed below, please share your experience.
National Council of Negro Women
National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP)
Southern Christian Leadership Conference
National Rainbow/PUSH Coalition

Again, I would like to see personal testimonies (not blurbs from websites) of individuals who have been helped by one of these organizations. For my defensive readers, I am simply asking the question–that’s it. No monologuing on my part.
