Coach Ty had an impressive resume before Notre Dame. His last coaching position just made his resume even more impressive. I knew it would not be long before someone picked him up. The fact that he is a division I coach is an accomplishment in of itself.
Look for all the “How does it feel to be the first black coach?†questions fielded towards him after every game. The weight of the milestone itself is going to be a heavy one for both of these coaches.
