Tam wrote the following in response to my commentary entitled “S.F. same-sex marriages voided“:

Last Sunday one of the Associate Pastors spoke out against homosexuality and men on the Down Low (among other things during his sermon). It made me feel good that he was not afraid to speak the biblical truth and did not allow the possible threat of members and/or visitors leaving or choosing not to return. The truth is the truth. Homosexuality is against nature as well as God’s law. Regarding christian broadcast networks speaking out against same-sex marriages and/or homosexuality; it just depends on when you are watching. Pastor John Hagee spoke against both of these issues on Daystar. His sermon was so powerful I was pretty much glued to the television. Pastor Rod Parsley spoke against this as well. It was either on TBN or Daystar.

Here was my response:

I guess what I was getting to (and I probably should have been a little more clear) is that, yes, there are ministries that do talk about same sex marriages/ homosexuality the way the Bible address it, but the message seems to loose its propagation once it gets to main street USA. In addition to venues like press conferences, there needs to be events that crosses over into the mainstream (where everybody else lives) that really demonstrates the Gospel message to people in that communty. I’m sorry, but conferences are for saved folk. How about something where a local church cancels their Sunday service to take part in a AIDS walk in their local community, or just sponsor one?i>

Thanks for your response!
