I agree that there are attractive BW out there. I just think that overall WW are more attractive.

I like white girls for the same reasons as i would like any woman intelligence, grace, beauty, sex drive etc all are important. but i think we should also look at the underlying internal resentment in our community.

As a dark skinned black guy i have many times received a less than welcome reception from sisters because of my skin tone being darker than that of the average brother. I think we avoid talking about the divides which exist in our own communities by focusing on other races. There has been significant research which shows lght skin blacks are employed at a fifty percent higher rate an have higher earning potential than dark skin AAS. THIS MAY SOUND RACIST BUT HAVING LIGHTER SKIN HAS AN IMPACT ON HOW YOU ARE PERCEIVED BY THE GREATER SOCIETY AS A WHOLE AND THIS PREFERENCE TENDS TO EXIST ACROSS ALL RACES. SO IN CLOSING I DONT PREFER ANY RACE OF WOMAN OVER ANY OTHER BUT HAVING A CERTAIN COMPLECTION CAN AND WILL HELP MY CHILDREN THATS A FACT.

I wouldn’t touch someone that dated me because I’m white. I have no interest in being someone’s fetish. Certainly, I know black men who are attracted to white women primarily– and I know white women who fetishise black men. I think it is a matter of craving what is perceived as ‘taboo.’ But ultimately– that doesn’t make for a relationship.

I don’t discriminate when it comes to race. I have no preference. I’ve dated black, white, latino, asian and middle eastern. It seems to me that a solid relationship is based on mutual respect and caring for one another as individuals, as well as common ground- Love is a meeting of hearts and minds– anything less is basically self-deception.

As my husband asked me before he died, why did you pick me out over any other guy? As I answered him as honestly and what the first thought was that popped into my head. Although I’ve heard that this story has lost it’s significance since first published; the sun has moved 3″ closer to the Earth instantly tanning any and all white women who do not remain indoors.

This has had the effect that black women no longer get angry when they see black men with white women (however now black men don’t know when they’re with a white woman).

Why black men prefer white women? Who said that at first place and on which basis? Why white men go to Asia and f*** vietnamese, Laos and other Asia females and no one talks about it? Why so many white men like asian female? Why so much focus on black men going out with white female? It is ok for some to go outside the race but not for the others? Think about it for a moment and you will understand that the history and legacy of this country, stemming from slavery and its related effects is far from dead!
Secondly, it is a lie to say that black men systematically seek white female for companionship; in my humble experience and opinion anyway. Yes there is the curiosity factor but like any others people on this planet, most black men are much more comfortable in their surroundings. The economic arguments can better explain the reasons why black men go out with white female; they are often more educated and earn more money that the sisters and that’s appealing to any average black men. It is therefore important for the black community as a whole to raise itself from its low social and economical level and you will see more brothers and sisters walking hand in hands in the future. Stop the better or worse nonsense, people are people and everyone is looking out for what is better for himself.

My experience with black women is that once they find out you are married to a goog black man, they hate. My husband followed me for two years before we even started dating, because, as he still says now, of my pretty blue eyes, and a beautiful shaped body (I do have long athletic legs, big blue eyes, tight sexy and big butt, and pretty long hair). My husband dated women from other races before we started dating. I think having a white woman is his preference, and he does take a look at pretty black women, and compliments them. We have three kids now, and believe me, our marriage takes a lot of effort from both of us. We have three kids now, and thank God, they do not see the color as a problem. My advise to black women: Do not hate women of other race because they have a black man. See what is out there for you. I know many white man, especially European (and they are wonderful men and lovers!) who would do anything to have ablack woman. The only thing I would say, the black women who hate are too much drama, so drop the drama, and see what’s out there for you. Believe me, I did not take one of your men, he was the one who chased me down. And I worked hard to make sure our marriage is working. Realistically, like attracts like. Normally, if you see a trailer trash WW with a black guy, chances are pretty good that he’s ghetto trash himself. Get out the hood and you won’t see it that often.

On college campuses and in professional workplaces, however… black men are sought after by many women – not just white ones. The problem for black women is that they 1.) rejected these men because of superficial requirements (i.e., height, looks) 2.) were too busy being “independent” to even recognize the good black men (note to sistas: “independent’ means NORMAL. Paying bills, buying groceries, handling your business? That’s AVERAGE. Women of other races don’t go around screaming that shit…) and 3.) are inherently lesbian, man-hating women.

Here in Detroit, you can find heterosexual, attractive white women that appreciate a man’s intellect, work ethic, and potential much easier than you can find a black woman of the same qualities… and if you find a sista like that, she sure as hell ain’t gonna be straight. And she’ll most likely be used goods as well.

I personally think that many brothas are dating white women for 2 reasons. First, love is color blind. Secondly… if you live in urban areas like Detroit, you’re sick and tired of all the black man-hating, questionable sexuality, hoochie dressing, stereotype-loving and embracing black woman. While black men have been ROYALLY fucking up for years – decades even – the good ones that black women ignore and skip over are going to continue to be the ones that leave them (and the black community in some cases) and their “hood niggas” behind.

Also… I’ve found that white women are MUCH more likely to approach a man when they’re interested. Sistas – in 2008 – refuse to do so. That will be a problem too.

Now, with this being said let’s flip the script. Why is it when white and asian women see a black woman with white man they treat her like garbage, give her dirty looks and stairs and ask her how did they meet? They even find it hard to believ you could possibly be educated. The men who dates/marries black women do not get treated as harshly as a black woman who communes outside her race. It seems that even if the BW is attractive some WW still look at her as if she is not worthy. Black people you all know that racism exists enough in our own culture and that in itself is issue enough. Beauty and attractiveness comes in many different ways. Why lower your standards by even commenting to ignorance? Personally, I think you can’t help who you love. At the same time, I also believe that really no one should down anyone else based on race. Men that dog out BW, remember your momma and maybe daughters are black too. There needs to be a respect for people. As our Presidentb Barack Obama, states, “It’s time for change”. This is my first post but I want to comment on this. As a highly educated Black man and extremely eligible bachelor my intent was to find a BW of similar means settle down and start a family. Over the years I’ve realized two things. Women from other races dig me a lot more than BW do and I’m not ugly in the least. The BW that I have dated or attempted to date turned me down or seemed to have hangups over past relationships which I really didn’t care about because we were supposed to be talking about the here and now. Being disappointed again and again has forced me to look into dating women of other races which I do and have come to realize that it doesn’t matter the race because any woman can bring excess baggage into a relationship. But I find overall BW shoot me down more than other races and if I am out on a date with an asian woman BW hate on it yet at times when I roll solo they won’t even talk to me and worse if they do, they don’t know how to talk to me except in a condescending manner which annoys the hell out of me. So even though I’m open to women of all races other women in other cultures except BW seem to enjoy the benefits of being around an educated BM more. Until BW realize just how much of a commodity educated BM are here in the US and the rest of the world then things are not going to change. Lastly my mother instilled in me that you can’t help who you fall in love with now I understand what she meant.

Lonzo Lucas II, I understand where you are coming from because me as an educated and highly sofisticated BW get the same reaction from BM. There are even BM who are with WW that still give me drama. Still I would like to know what the other side of the coin is when WW give the same attitude. Is it that they feel that they are better than the BF? This we all know is not true. We are all equal and people need to realize this, but when you have BM talking down on the BF then they assure everyone else out there with negative thinking that it’s okay. You cannot allow another person’s negative reaction to control your thoughts, emotions and ways of thinking. There is good in all races, but there is also bad. Downing someone because of the color their skin is down right nasty and it reflects what is truly in ones heart. So my comment to everyone is think before you speak because once it’s out there is no taking it back.

I am a white woman who has been married to a black man for 15 years. I was an ‘equal opportunity’ dater and finally fell in love with my hubby because he was kind and loving. I have seen so much discrimination in the past 15 years, it’s pathetic. And I am talking about discrimination from BOTH sides of the color spectrum. Here’s what people think when they see us:

“That guy is just with her because she has money” FALSE! My husband makes all the income and I am a full-time student (going back to school for nursing) and a stay-at-home mother to 3 beautiful boys.

“She must be a white-trash skank” FALSE! I have had an average amount of partners. I didn’t sleep with my husband for 6 months after we started to date and he said it was ‘refreshing’ and he respected me for it.

“He must hate black women” FALSE! He was an equal-opportunity dater, too. He adores his mother, sisters, cousins, our neighbors and friends.

People want to judge us when we are out and about. Once when we were at a club, a black man walked up to me and started grabbing my butt and pulling me onto the dance floor. Of course my husband told him to leave me alone and they guy said “why don’t you let this white whore decide who she’s sleeping with tonight?” HUH?!?

Another time we passed a black woman and she called him a sellout. He stopped and went back and told her that her negative attitude was one of the reasons many black men date outside of their race.

When I meet white women and they find out my husband is black, they do one of a few things….

1. Ask me if the myth is true. Seriously?? Should my husband’s penis size be ANY of your business?!?

2. Avoid me because I must be of a lower class.

3. Be extra nice to me because they want to prove they are not racist. Dang that’s annoying.

Anyhoodles, just wanted to share some of my experiences. We get racism from all angles, but I can say that in the past 15 years there has been a lot of positive change in regards to people’s perceptions. I think that is why this article disappointed me. I had thought we’d moved past some of this. **Sigh**

There have been some interesting responses here to the issues of black men dating white women, and it’s effects on black women, a fact that is often ignored.

Too say the mixing of the races do not matter, is ignorant. The discussion on this site is evidence from the arguement put forward by black men and women, which is a subject too vast, to to pretend feelings do not matter.

Dating out of your race is up to the individual, but at the detriment of others; particularly the children whom are mixed (look at the mixed race sites). These children clearly do not know whom they are. From the comments on these sites, they definately do not want to be seen as black. Historically, they would automatically come under the banner of black. Now they want to be known as a race of their own: why not? Well we know the media show mixed races instead of darker skin black people, as the token black, a view excepted by black people. But if they are no longer black then the battle for full black models should be fought for in the media, e.g. modelling.

Further, some responsibility must be place on black men, to ensure their fairer skined women do not disrepect women from their cultured background, and vice versa, (as above, you’ll find an example of the lower class white female verbally attacking the black female’s the statistics with foul langage). In attacking b/w she have attacked her black man’s grand/mother/sister/daughter.

The black man or woman cannot put aside his history when his preference to the pale skin of his white female is his chosen. To quote by Rajen Persaud from his just book “Why Black Men Love White Women, ‘He finds it hard to connect with the Black woman, outside of sensation, since she serves as the symbol of his failure. By giving birth to him she represents the synthesis of his circumstance, the precious gift of life once cherished now become a curse, her womb a graveyard as life became death. As a result, he will chase the white woman to the ends of the earth, and will stop only when he catches his mind… With the b/m preference of white’s women, the atrocity of slavery should at all times be remembered.

As black woman, we should rememer that the black man is the weaker sex, mentally he has suffered and is obviously maimed because he was unable to defend himself and protect the black woman during slavery. Dr Lewin sums it up perfectly, ‘Down through the ages the more the Black woman was soiled, the more the white woman was deified. And so the white man’s relationship with the Black woman, and his protection of the white woman, created an appetite of vengeful lust within Black men, and a dawning interest in Black men by white women. After seeing the white man ravage the Black woman, it is only natural that the Black man wants to reciprocate. Whether to get even or just out of curiosity, inevitably a journey toward the white woman will sooner or later be embarked upon…’

Black women, during slavery, we were considered by white men to be the most beautiful, and morally standing of women. We kept our head high, even when we was held down and rape. The changes happen when the mixture of the black and white blood produce children that looked down on their black parents, for being too dark, thereby they were restricted to plantation field work instead of the higher rated house servant work.

To turn away from your historical background is to forget our ancestry, and our fathers/husband/sons whom were lynched. The black woman have a duty to educate their children so that we do not forget the past – it is our history, and the white man darken past.

What race or culture do not have a history… to be proud of. Darwin stated the survival of the fitness… you survived. Let the black man give his blackness away through his children. We have a duty keep the black race and our history alive by sticking together.

It seems like life would be exhausting if you had to live it with the constant need to remind people about slavery….to remind them how angry it makes you feel and how you will never forget or forgive a single second of it, even though you never experienced it. You now sit in front of a computer, probably in your warm house or apartment thinking about your job or where you’ll go out to dinner all the while reminding everyone of the events of over a century ago.

It was a horrible time in the U.S. Democrats were fighting to keep slavery alive (yes…the dems didn’t want slavery to end) and many white people were monsters.

I, however, have chosen not to feel guilty for the horrific choices white people made over a century ago. I am responsible for my behavior and the behavior of my children. Do I think it was deplorable? Absolutely. Am I saddened by it? Very much so. But should I feel personally responsible for what some white men did a hundred and thirty years ago? No. I think white liberal guilt prevents people from saying this exact thing….it is often kept inside because to disagree with a person of color instantly earns you the title “bigot”.

I am assuming you think that if you date outside your race you will be “turning away from your historical background and forgetting your ancestry and your fathers/husbands/sons whom were lynched.” That is such a fallacy! You can date whomever you choose and still honor your family history, values and beliefs.

Black people want equality which I applaud! I give you equality, but that means that you have to be willing to come to the table as an equal…..not a victim full of hatred and distrust. It’s time to free yourself.

It would seem to me that the problem is not necassarily with the mix of races, where mixed children are concerned, but the way these children are raised. It does not matter what the color of your skin is there is always someone that will have something negative to say. Therefore, this is something all children must and deal with. Secondly, if you know who you are then there is nothing people can say to bring you down. Thus, teaching our kids to believe in themselves. Third, be proud of who you are. If our children are taught to embrace who they are then that in itself will make a difference. No matter what, you cannot control the way another person acts or thinks, but you can control your own actions. Face it! If you want a good partner than it should not matter what race they are. As stated before, ignorance comes in all races. Just because someone is involved with someone outside of their race does not mean they have lost focus on their identity. If this is the case, the bible’s scripture to love one another as you love yourself , love thy neighbor, Martin Luther King’s speech I have a dream and Malcolm X’s, who at one time was closed minded, trip to the promise land and finding their were people of other skin, and our very own President Barack Obama would have no meaning for their existence. This is a new day and age and things have changed significantly. Yes, I know about the lynching of our ancestors, but I also know that there are also good white people that also helped us then and are helping us now. The black race has been mixed with every race you can imagine. This meaning that just because you see someone that looks black, white…etc does that mean that is their actual race. If we are to speak of the truth then speak of the whole truth. You must work on yourself as an individual then you will find you will have no time to judge everyone else.

Remember we all have to go through something to get somewhere worthy.

And the worthiest place of all to go to is? And exactly what type of moral lessons should we learn in order to get there?

Being ignorant and wanting to be ignorant are two totally different things.

No one can fool Allah. We only fool our own selves.

The point is that we all have sinned and fallen short of his glory. You and no one else can judge the type of relationship one has with God. That is between them and their Savior. We all want to get to heaven but you cannot tell a person how to get there if you are not sure yourself. I say although we may not agree. I still respect your opinion and you really should do the same. Who is willing to go down the road less traveled? God knows all and see all. We must love others as ourselves. Yes, we should work on earning ourselves to the most worthiest place. Remember, you can’t tell me how to get there if you have never been there yourself. God looks in our hearts and knows our intentions.

Never, never do I intend to direct anything towards others in a personal or shallow way. At times I do wrong as we all do, but I always go against my own ego when it really is time for me to relate to and submit to truth. Not according to how I choose to percieve it but according to how truth commands me to perceive it. Does that also and should that also imply to you and everyone else?

Surely we’re all on different levels but how much are you willing to be profoundly honest and considerate instead of nihilistic/blindly optimistic?

Am I being judgmental/opinionated by simply asking a profound question? And isn’t it a fact that being ignorant isn’t the same as wanting to be ignorant? A fact that an innocent defense isn’t at all the same as a hedonistic and lawless/anarchistic defense?

Then how can you, I or anyone else even make an attempt to distinguish fact from opinion and truth from falsehood if the best you can say is “truth is perceived according to how we perceive it” or “never impose your beliefs except for when they’re financially related”?

If we are very willing to be very profound-minded and understanding we can for once eliminate anarchy and nihilism altogether. Unfortunately, way too many obviously want to support nihilism than oppose it.

And honestly, I even really do adore philosophy more than attractive/seductive pale white women. Not to mention how much I really do adore having profound monotheistic discussions if that is profoundly fine with the other person.
