Growing up I never really respected the new founded leadership (Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Kwesi Mfume) for my own reasons. As I have gotten older and found a sense of direction and determination of where I want my mindset to be I found yet some hope.

I started out listening to Al on the Tom Joyner Show and he actually suprised me that we were on the same medium to only add when I watched his new show I was like DAYUM although I may not accept all his beliefs I believe he is on the money with more than a little bit.

This comes from the mind of a new generation..AL KEEP DOING YOU! I love that fact he has both sides yet he still stands his ground! Never playing the Devil’s Advocate to make conversation.

I LIKE I LIKE!

I was watching sharptalk and there was a brother who was an atheist.He made a comment that by him simply being able to say it on television as a free black man was directly opposite of what he said. They were discussing the church and God. Someone stated that the reason Harriet Tubman could free so many slaves was because of her belief and strength that she got from God. He replied that God didn’t do a very good job at helping free slaves. But he was free and probably his parents and a host of other relatives. If he really believes that God didn’t do a good job then why isn’t he or we still slaves to this day? He could not have got the education that he sounded like he had if God didn’t do a good job. The mistake that the slave owners made was teaching the slaves the Bible. You can’t read about Moses and the children of Israel and what God did for them and not think that the same God can’t do it for you.

I watched the episode about Fathers with Doug E Fresh and that was by far the most informative show. Father absence is a major issue in the black community. I loved the comments by that sister, Alicia Crowe, who wrote the book Real Dads Stand Up. It takes fathers to step up to the plate to make the black community a better place.

I have really been enjoying the show, however I would like to speak with Mr. Sharpton regarding a legal matter I, as a widow, am dealing with here in Cabarrus County/Concord, N.C. I have been an Educator and Therapeutic Foster Care Parent for the past 25 years. Recently I have had an false allegation against me in this county, wrongfully terminated from my employment and have a warrant out for my arrest as we speak. I have showed up for every court date since Sept 1, 2006 but yet the attorney’s here are pressuring me as well as others not to “appeal” cases but to remand them back to District Court. I have be threatened by the public defender and misrepresented and filed a complaint in the N.C. Bar Association for both attorney’s for unethical conduct. I have emailed everyone I could think of as well as sent letters to the Govenor, Mayor, Congressman etc. I am asking for some assistance and light shown on the corrupt judicial system here in Cabarrus County. Please Mr. Sharpton, I ask you to respond to my letter for there is much more that I can share with you. My upcoming court date is Monday, July 9th 2007. I thank you for your consideration in this matter and pray that you respond to me speedily.
