I have been reading a lot about Prince Georges county lately. I have been there many times, and I can tell you that it is a very cool place. This is further proof that our economic condition is improving. I wonder if this county has any problems knowing how the voting machine works?
Last year Shanga Hankerson, son of singer Gladys Knight, was reading a newspaper story when two things caught his eye. The story said that Prince George’s County had a median household income approaching $60,000 and its population was 63 percent black.
In recent times, however, investor interest in Prince George’s County has been growing, as more businesses chase the rising wealth of the black middle class there. Prince George’s was ranked 49th in median household income, far above most of the 3,000 counties in the nation, although still below other D.C. suburban counties. Prince William County ranked third, Fairfax ranked fifth and Montgomery County eighth in the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2003 American Community Survey. (full article)
