I decided to get a rocket the other day for me, my kids and some of the neighborhood kids to enjoy. There is nothing like seeing something you built with your own hands being launched over 1000 feet in the air (and it works).
Nice. I built quite a few when I was a kid. We bought out the whole stock of engine of a place that was going out of business and got a few hundred of them for a nickel a pop which made it pretty cheap compared to what they’re getting these days. All A/B/C size though, no D’s.
There’s a huge amount of airplane action at Sepulveda basin.

What is the difference between engines? For the rocket pictured I used a class A engine. I lost one of the fins for that rocket, so I bought another one. This time I used a class C rocket and man! I thought it would never stop. I’m assuming this means the higher the class, the higher the flight???
As far as planes go, I have been wanting to do that for years. I’m thinking before the year is out I may go ahead and just buy one. Any one in particular you recommend for someone just starting?
Make sure you make some video of your spitfire once you get it up.
