It didn’t take long Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee to pull out her worn out race card this week as news reports came out detailing the hard time Obama is having raising the debt ceiling.

–>“I am particularly sensitive to the fact that only this president — only this one, only this one — has received the kind of attacks and disagreement and inability to work, only this one,” said Jackson Lee from the House floor.

“Read between the lines,” she continued. “What is different about this president that should put him in a position that he should not receive the same kind of respectful treatment of when it is necessary to raise the debt limit in order to pay our bills, something required by both statute and the 14th amendment?”

This is the same Lee who suggested that hurricanes should have Black names.

–>“All racial groups should be represented,” Lee said, according to the Hill. She hoped federal weather officials “would try to be inclusive of African-American names.”

This is the same Lee who is being sued for discrimination.

–>“I don’t give a damn about her disability,”<–

Let’s not forget her staffers who have accused her of being verbally abusive.

With all of that being said, she manages to “read between the lines” when it comes to those who do not want to raise the debt ceiling.

But here is what’s really sad. Lee’s shortsighted assessment that links everyone who disagrees with Obama to the Klan is a very popular one amongst the rest of the Obama fan base.

Just yesterday, I posted the following link on a Facebook page that explains in practical terms how the debt ceiling hysteria is all hype.

As expected, it was completely ignored. Instead, the conversation jumped immediately to “The GOP is racist”, “the rich need to do their part” (never mind about 47% of the country does not pay taxes at all), wash, rinse, repeat.

With people like Lee, some debates will always be unwinnable.
