You are correct- we are killing off the black babies of the country. A new film- Maafa21 Black Genocide in 21st Century America makes this point like nothing ever seen before. I think the number of outwardly gay men and “down low” gay men is a non-issue. There are Black lesbians who are not in the available pool.

Single men who have no interest in women does shrink the pool (unless most gay Black men are Bi)

I thought that the piece on single black women was one-sided in a sense because it doesn’t address the issues that are affecting them in life.

There may be other factors as well (other than the social ills that affect Black men), etc.

I was a little disturbed by this segment, it was one sided. True us men have our issues black white etc. it’s not so much of a race thing because it could be any racial issues if you look hard enough, but these women like so many others, and don’t tell their dark side. What about the brother or Black Man that has a 9 to 5, but does not have that 5 figure or higher income. I am a heterosexual black male in the ATL and I love my Strong Black Women very proud of them, but they don’t want to give the seemingly average guy a chance. BLACK WOMEN, WHITE WOMEN, MALE, OR FEMALE don’t have to compromise and shouldn’t have to, but don’t let a car or anything materialistic be your don’t do list (how shallow are we) you will never find true love that way only artificial relationships that’s dictated by the latest fad or trend. I work around high powered Black Women who wouldn’t give you the time of day because of the floor you work on. Be realistic and look in the mirror and evaluate yourself.

Atlanta PERIOD is very materialistic. Sounds like you may be fishing at the wrong fishing hole. The woman that may be right for you may not even be in the same building. The woman you say you want may not be the right one for you. If you are as decent of a man as you are describing yourself, there is a woman out there for you. Just continue to accentuate your positives and work on those areas in your life you need to work on (managing money, keeping a clean car, cooking, whatever it may be for you) and enjoy life. In time, you will run smack dab into your future wife–if that is what you want.
