Found a “Boycott BET” group on Facebook and had to comment (and nobody “liked” it–sniff, sniff).
“I hate to be Johnny Raincloud here, but it will not work. Despite all the attempts to pin this on behind the scene White folks, the truth is that Black folks LOVE BET. Twitter was on fiya by Black folks during the BET Awards show. If you are going to boycott anything, try boycotting the Black folks who both watch it and promote it on a regular basis. And see how far you get with that. Better yet, try boycotting mediatakeout.com (which has far more online reach than BET and is owned and operated by Black folks) and see how far you get with that as well.”
