Interesting point. I figure your right. Bubble wrapping kids these days , not allowing some self determination is becoming a ruinination on them.

Kids show up on time for violence but not to improve themselves?

Yes you make a GREAT point.  These kids can learn, but I have to question what they are being taught.

“If kids can put together a flash mob, they can get to school on time, study and get good grades…”

Er, no. You’re oversimplifying to the point of absurdity.

The “kids” (all black) are cognitively capable of using technology (technology invented by white men, of course, but put that aside for the moment) to coordinate violence. This does not mean they’re smart. It means that (a) they’re at least as smart as, say, a white 3rd grader, and (b) they really, really want to commit random acts of mob violence (against primarily white victims).

They will not use this limited cognitive ability to get to school on time, study, or get good grades, because (a) there’s no evidence that they’re actually smart enough to do all that (getting good grades is a slightly trickier matter than using your iPhone to log in to Facebook), and (b) they don’t want to. No motivation.

You’re not going to find the secret to closing the achievement gap in these packs of feral “youths.”

I have to disagree with you.

We have spent MILLIONS of dollars in this country to upgrade schools with computers and technology because it was a hope that it will help improve grades. There is little evidence that this has worked. In fact, grades have gone down. Children (regardless of color) all have the ability to pursue what they want on the information superhighway. Just as you have smart kids who use technology to get beyond the firewalls of major corporations, you have kids like the ones in this story who CHOOSE to use technology in a destructive manner.

What we are dealing with here is choice and will. To suggest otherwise is to believe what so many other racists have believed for years: That Blacks are genetically inferior. And that is exactly where you are coming from with your comment.

For the record, blacks have an average general intelligence (g factor) about 1.1 standard deviations below whites (in America; lower in Africa). In terms of IQ, blacks are about 15–18 points below the white mean of about 100. The evidence suggests that this gap is 50–80 percent genetic, according to the leading experts on the subject of race differences in intelligence, Arthur Jensen and J. Philippe Rushton.

If you want to express this as “blacks are genetically inferior,” that’s your choice.

Anyway, I agree with you that black grades have gone down, even though enormous amounts of money and time have been spent trying to improve their test scores. This, of course, is evidence that there is a significant genetic component to the racial gaps.

I also agree that we are dealing with “choice and will.” As I said, these kids won’t use their dubious “tech smarts” to get good grades because, quite simply, they don’t want to. It’s their “choice and will” to destroy (white) society instead.

But I don’t agree with your racist assessment of Black folks as there are many people that have (and still do) prove this foolishness false.

Nope, there aren’t. No one has ever proved this scientific theory false. See, that’s why you’re afraid to argue against me. That’s why you have to resort to name calling:

“waaaah waaaah he’s a racist because he reads the literature which shows that blacks have inferior average intelligence, which of course explains pretty much all their failings, and the continued ineffectiveness of programs such as affirmative action and No Child Left Behind, waaaah, I’m going to run away now.”
