Online social networks like MySpace and Facebook allows you to build your own social networks. For my Facebook account, the majority of my network is made up of Black folks. Why? Because I have associated with other Blacks the most over the years. The same goes for my Asian friends I have out here in CA. Same goes for my Hispanic friends in Jersey. Same goes for my White friends everywhere else. Each group tends to stay closely knitted with their own.

So why then create a separate MySpace that caters ONLY to Black folks here in America?

For ethnic groups with strong ties beyond the US, I get the separation. Otherwise, it sounds redundant to me.
