Maybe I’m not reading into this the way the writter intended…but I don’t think there is a such thing as “Too much education”…The problem comes when people decided what they are going to do with their nre found knowledge…how they project.

I think that there is a such thing as Over looking, and searching for something that’s not there. People in this country are so hell bent on finding the wrong that they can’t stop to appriciate the “right”. We miss out on a lot of good opportunities to make race relations better. Instead of him pointing out the fact that HE thought it was wrong for this white school to serve stereotypical meals, he could have gave a better solution so that it wouldn’t happen again and give a factual reason as to why it made him feel bad.

We have to learn that you can’t just come to the table with complaints anymore, you need to come with a solution too, becuase complaining has gotten real old. He has all this education under him and instead of sharing what he knows in a constructive way he saw fit to add to the compaint box without a solution.

I agree with you.
A long time ago we did not require all of this sensitivity education. Yes it is good to be aware if other cultures, but uhh-ruh, our problem was never AWARENESS, it was acceptance. My point was that this awareness mess is education that does more harm than good.
