Typically a story like this would have gained some national attention. In fact, if it wasn’t for activist Ted Hayes I would not have known about this story.

Now this next video starts off with another local news station covering the story but the rest is an interview with one of the Pastors of the church.

An investigation was under way today at a church and two residences that were damaged by fire south of downtown Los Angeles, and authorities were looking for a possible arson suspect.
There were two suspect descriptions, one of a Latino male, the other of a black male, Sgt. Wayne Lightfoot of the Los Angeles police Newton Station said.

Lightfoot said he was not sure whether there were two suspects or one.

The fire was reported at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at Great Change Ministries and an adjacent house in the 500 block of East Washington Boulevard, Devin Gales of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

Fire crews declared a knockdown on the blaze in 41 minutes, with an estimated 80 firefighters responding, Gales said.

Flames shot through the church’s roof as firefighters worried about the steeple falling down, according to reports from the scene.

Two single-family dwellings caught fire and received minor damage, Gales said. (more…)

While the article above suggests that there were two suspects (Black and Latino), the interviews in the second video say that there was only one suspect.

And you wonder why according to Gallup that most people do not trust newspapers or tv news.

The simple truth is that we simply do not know who burned down this church. But it is going to be real interesting to see how the media responds when the identity of the suspect is revealed.
