“The bill states, “To provide for the award of a gold medal on behalf of the Congress to Tiger Woods, in recognition of his service to the Nation in promoting excellence and good sportsmanship, and in breaking barriers with grace and dignity by showing that golf is a sport for all people.’” (excerpt from a bill that is now being dumped in light of the Tiger Woods saga)

Don’t worry, someone will resurrect this bill either when Tiger is a very old man or after he is dead and gone. Isn’t that how we typically bestow honor to exceptional individuals who have jacked up personal lives?
