For Some, Diversity Is Nothing More Than A Weapon

MSNBC regularly calls out Fox News and the Tea party movement for not having enough Blacks in their ranks…

Mediaite’s Rachel Sklar called out Fox News for not enough diversity…

Check out their “About us” page. Confirmed that the core staff is as about as white as these field of lilies.

And now we have the very left-leaning Creative Loafing magazine in Atlanta. I actually like the magazine (minus the sex bondage and other assorted sexually explicit ads in the back). In a city FULL of Black folks (second largest Black population in the country), apparently they could not find one Black person to highlight for their recent cover story “8 Artists to Watch”. Rob Redding of reddingnewsreview.com called them out on it.

Those who want to lecture the world on diversity need to be seriously checked.

Hi Duane. I wanted to know if you have heard about what is going on at a public high school in Philadelphia
(http://www.joannejacobs.com/2010/09/after-race-riots-is-there-hope/). Since I am a public school teacher, I keep up with stuff like this. Have you seen this?

This is just plain wrong.

Coming to America is a privilege.
What some of these Asian kids experienced last year was wrong and I am glad the school system has done something about it.

I’m a little mixed when it comes to American schools teaching kids how to speak English. If I go to France, Russia, Mexico, etc., do they have tax payer funded programs that teach English only speakers their native tongue? This concerns me because I wonder just how much money is being spent on teaching people how to speak English. I also wonder if these Black kids are being held back in any way because of this. In many schools, this does have an effect on the overall performance of the classroom.
