“This is what I am getting so far from this story: Woman cuts in line (which the way she did it wasn’t a big deal), Walmart rep notices it and probably got rude. I’m sure this woman did not just take that rudeness–which is why a cop got involved. Woman continues to flip out over the fact that now cops are involved. More words were exchanged–this time with cops. Sounds like although she said that she was not resisting arrest, she probably made it difficult for them (let’s say it like that). And as for the 15 years, she could have that possibility gone in a second if she just pay the $250 misdemeanor. While I sorta get the character stance she is taking, #1 Can she fight to get the misdemeanor off her record another day? #2 Isn’t she hurting her chances more to go into the medical field by blowing this up? Misdemeanors can be explained in most cases. A 15 year sentence? Forget about it. Now if she was not resisting arrest, I’m with her. But we need to see the proof.”

That is how I responded to this story in Facebook this morning.

I don’t like how the reporting news show immediately took the race angle on this without presenting and actual evidence other than pointing out that Blacks were in the minority in that town.

Here’s another story I found. This one involves a WHITE father and son who were likewise arrested at another Wal-Mart. So unless Fox Memphis has some evidence that these cops who arrested this woman used racial slurs, they need to quit muddying up the facts that we know so far.
