This picture tells me all I need to know about how the US is being positioned.
Putting a moratorium on offshore drilling because of what has taken place in the Gulf is a very dumb idea. It is like placing a moratorium on flying because of an airplane crash.
What is ironic here is that by placing a moratorium on drilling on our own coastlines actually places us right back in the same position President Obama pledged to break up if he became President.
“One of the bold promises Senator Obama made in his acceptance speech is that he wants to end American’s addiction on foreign oil.
Senator Obama said he would address American’s oil dependency for the sake of the nation’s economy, security and environment.
‘I will set a clear goal as president: in ten years we will finally end our dependence on oil in the Middle East,’ said Democratic Presidential nominee Barack Obama.”
How ’bout a moratorium on overreaching government.
