While doing some research for another post, I came across this great find this morning.

The Color of Money

It is the entire 1989 Pulitzer Prize investigative series on how banks in Atlanta were called out by the Black community for “redlining” and how community activists, Black preachers, residents, local media, etc. pressured these banks to issue out loans with relaxed credit requirements and low interest rates. Whatever your slant is on the mortgage situation, I’m sure you will find plenty of information to support your case. But regardless, this is something I think worth reading by all who are still trying to piece together the origins of the housing market crisis (if we are still calling it that now).

Here is the pdf of the entire series.
I will also be placing this under the RESEARCH tab.
