I think the amusement I’m finding in all of this is watching how the Obama fan base (who were passing out Obama talking points on things like the economy, education, taxes, welfare, etc. like ice water in hell) are suddenly finding themselves avoiding the same issues by talking about other things. If they do come close to dealing with his growing list of broken political promises, the number 1 response you will here is…
“But Bush…”
Bush supporters have done this with Clinton on certain issues and rightfully got blasted for it. Now its time for Obama supporters to stop hiding their man behind who THEY DEEMED as a “failed President” and man up.
“Support” for Obama shouldn’t just be about praising him and protecting him from critics. Support should also be about calling the man out when he broke promises many of you voted for in this past election.
Administration Is Open to Taxing Health Benefits
By JACKIE CALMES and ROBERT PEAR
nytimes.comWASHINGTON β The Obama administration is signaling to Congress that the president could support taxing some employee health benefits, as several influential lawmakers and many economists favor, to help pay for overhauling the health care system.
The proposal is politically problematic for President Obama, however, since it is similar to one he denounced in the presidential campaign as βthe largest middle-class tax increase in history.β Most Americans with insurance get it from their employers, and taxing workers for the benefit is opposed by union leaders and some businesses.
In television advertisements last fall, Mr. Obama criticized his Republican rival for the presidency, Senator John McCain of Arizona, for proposing to tax all employer-provided health benefits. The benefits have long been tax-free, regardless of how generous they are or how much an employee earns. The advertisements did not point out that Mr. McCain, in exchange, wanted to give all families a tax credit to subsidize the purchase of coverage. (more…)

“Bishop” Obama?
The Black elite’s favorite target out here in the blogosphere has always been crooked Black preachers and their so-called gullible followers who cover for them. When a preacher fails to tell the truth, spends money unwisely, etc., the Black elite is right there calling it out and condemning their followers for having such a blind allegiance. What they won’t admit is that in the church of Obama, the same status quo applies. Obama could break every last one of his promises and the elite will be right there speaking in their own brand of tongues and rebuking the demons of criticism (“Get thee behind me, Rush!”).
Obama, take the wheel.
