Prior to Obama, then president Clinton defined “wealthy” in this country as someone who makes at least $250,000 per year. As far as I knew, that applied to ALL Americans. So why am I seeing headlines this morning that are suggesting a lower number for Blacks?

All of this buzz on where “wealthy” Blacks choose to live comes from a recent study released by John Logan, Brown University sociologist and director of the US2010 Project.
But when you read this USAToday article, they admit that the definition of wealth for this study is actually minority who make $75k or more.
Other media outlets are also running with the definition that “affluent” in the Black community means someone who makes $75k or more.
