Sitting here thinking about redistributing wealth I’m realizing that it takes more than just throwing money at a problem. Capitalism enables people to thrive self sufficiently but it does not address the worlds problems, whether it be education or poverty, nor should it. Look at the countries that are receiving money and food but these never find those for whom it was intended to help. Why? Because it takes more than that. It takes lives dedicated to helping people find and enabling them to make better way of enriching their lives.

If you liked that, you should check out Milton Friedman’s other stuff. You can start by doing a youtube search under his name. Also, his foundation has a website on school choice:
It takes lives dedicated to helping people find and enabling them to make better way of enriching their lives.
And in my opinion, one of the greatest examples of this has been missionaries. While folks will only credit missionaries with disrupting cultures and forcing their brand of religion on indigenous people, missionaries have gone where few capitalists dare to go. In addition to preaching the gospel, missionaries to this day are introducing technologies and skills to indigenous to help them compete in the 21st open market.
