Both the AP and newspapers all across America have been complaining that the blogosphere should be penalized for posting excerpts of their work.

Just when I finished reading half of a silly article (I could not take it anymore) posted by the Washington Post suggesting that there is a racist connection with the “Joker” Obama posters, I get an e-mail.

It was from the Washington Post PR Team.

Apparently, they wanted to bring to my attention this very same article.

Now I get e-mails from journalists, commentators, etc. from time from who want me to either mention their work on my site or who just want to hear my opinion. That’s cool. But why only knock on my door when the issue pertains to some “racial” outburst? I have yet to get an e-mail from anyone in the press asking for my opinion on issues like how wasteful government spending, public schools, Obama’s health care plans, etc. are impacting the Black community (all of which I talk about quite extensively on this site). Some racial outburst pops up in Anytown, America and the press suddenly want to hear the “Black perspective”. Case in point, Howard Witt from the Chicago Tribune. He kept feeding the Black blog swarm directly by e-mail with his articles on the Shaquanda Cotton case. How many Black bloggers has he e-mailed asking for the “Black perspective” on Obama’s handling of the economy?

Philip Kennicott of the Washington Post pens an article on the so-called racial connection between The Joker and Obama and suddenly the Black perspective is in vogue with MSM…for a minute.

As far as linking and further commenting on the article, I pass the mic to Amanda Carey for Reason.com.

“But regardless of what the intended message of the poster is, the immediate jump to racism is just too far-fetched. The only reason Kennicott made the connection to race is because he was looking for it. The poster is about Obama and socialism and maybe the dangers of messy lipstick application. But not race. Seeing racism here, there, and everywhere doesn’t make the accuser sound intellectual, just ignorant.”

BAM!

You guys are a complete trip!!
