Those who are taking part of the Occupy Wall Street protests need to get a clue on history. Frustration mixed with activism will produce exactly what you seek…and nothing more. Just look at the birth of Communism in countries like Russia and China and why they are slowly moving away from it.
Take a look at just some of the gripes I found on the “We Are the 99 percent” Tumblr page. Just on a side note, what is it with White liberals posting pictures of themselves like this? They did it back when Sen. John Kerry lost to then-president Bush.

>I am lucky enough to have been employed for three years at Publix.
>I am extremely fortunate to be able to attend a community college with a scholarship that covers my tuition.
>Forunately, I am still covered my parent’s insurance.
BUT
>I will never be able to live on my own. I live with my boyfriend, who lives in his father’s house, who breaks his back to work FULL TIME with paltry benefits. I have to watch him come home with aches and pains of a 60 year old man. He is 25. I have to watch him He was only able to attend school for one year before running out of money to do so.
>My father was fired from his job because his supervisor had a personal vendetta against him. My mother is an elementary school teacher. They have three other child to support, along with my grandmother overseas. I pay “rent” to help them pay the bills. It’s amazing that they have been able to keep afloat.
I am more fortunate than most right now but I don’t have a future ahead of me.
I am the 99%.
My boyfriend, my parents, my friends are the 99%
I want CHANGE, I want a REVOLUTION.

I am a 21 year old single mother.
I work full time and go to two colleges. (which is piling on the debt)
I only make 25k a year.
This is too much for government assistance- daycare, health care, food stamps.
I end up with 16 cents in my bank account each payday.
I am in school so my daughter doesn’t live in poverty like I did.
Too bad we are living it with no end in sight.
I only have Sundays to spend with my daughter.
===
I have a Bachelor’s Degree Graduated Cum Laude
I had been 9 months without work and had to rely on credit cards to pay my tuition bills and debt.
I currently hold 2 dead-end jobs, work over 45 hours a week, and I spend most of this money paying the debt I accumulated over those 9 months.
I’ve had to deal with depression thanks to the fact that I find it hard to see the light at the end of this tunnel.
I can’t afford to go to a psychologist, me and my girlfriend can barely pay for our roof and our food.

We are 28 yrs old and married with three children.
We have $25. in the bank
We are fortunate enough to get medical assistance and food stamps, but not forunate enough to get childcare assistance for our youngest child. We have to take turns with our school schedules because we can’t afford daycare.
Both of us are enrolled in school, after trying unsuccessfully to find work. We have an increasing amount of student debt, and we are constantly praying that when we graduate, there will be jobs for us to support our family and pay off our debts.
We have both been unemployed off and on for 3 years, being underemployed in between.
We don’t know how we manage to support our family while in school and with no jobs. We scape by with unemployment, child support and money from school. We’ve been pawning stuff and selling on craigslist to get gas money for school.
We know we are always one step away from homelessness. We fear for our family’s future.
We would go to the occupy wall st. protests ourselves but we can’t afford the gas!

What my family I have been through just in these last couple of years will put most of these gripes to shame. This is straight up whining!
A few things I find interesting about these protests~
# Government has consistently wasted TRILLIONS of taxpayer dollars over the years, yet Wall Street is solely the blame.
#Public unions whose average member has more benefits than many folks in the private sector are considered “the workers”.
#Black journalists and other left leaning journalists, commentators, etc. made it a top priority to do a racial head count for the tea party movement. Yet to my knowledge, NOT ONE OF THEM have pointed out the fact that A) these problems are really nothing new in the Black community. B) This movement is made up of mostly White people. C) Only when White folks get together for these causes is it considered a “movement”. Bottom line, this is further proof that race is nothing but a weapon in politics.
# Cornel West got hammered for calling Obama a “Black mascot” for Wall Street. Will his sins be forgiven? Or is his only sin the fact that he pointed out Obama’s involvement in this mess?
Bundling various causes and gripes into one movement is nothing more than a weird science experiment.
AP reports that there is no clear objective
Like the similar gripe-based movements of old that had no clear objective, you can count on the fact that someone is waiting in the wings to co-opt the whole thing for their own purpose. Just ask Cindy Sheehan.
Weird Science will always produce unintended results
