After nearly getting winded when I heard the news that Obama is gonna throw another $50bn on the crap table, I decided to hear what other Black folks were saying about it online. After all, Obama has already spent over a trillion dollars in his so-called effort to “save” the economy and unemployment continues to climb (especially Black unemployment). Under any other administration, this would have been easily called out as “foul”. But alas, all that glitters is still solid gold for some people.
While on the Facebook page of a popular Black radio host, I came across some of the following comments regarding Obama’s latest speech on saving the economy…again.
“Watchin now!!!!!! Please Support Your President. I know it looks and sounds suspicions.”
“I am so into that. I will stand, lay and fight to give President Barack Obama his respect. This is NOW a CALL TO ARMS! LET us fight to keep it real!”
“We are a lucky nation to have President Obama”
“I was just talking about the fact that black people as a whole never disrespected a sitting president like this. I mean we made jokes but we were never so disrespectful. Even if they don’t like the president they should respect the position of power.”
