Blacks in survey say race relations no better with Obama (cnn.com)

“Ninety-six percent of African-Americans approve of how Obama is handling his presidency, according to a CNN/Essence Magazine/Opinion Research Corp. poll released Thursday.”
But here is the kicker~
“During the 2008 election, 38 percent of blacks surveyed thought racial discrimination was a serious problem. In the new survey, 55 percent of blacks surveyed believed it was a serious problem, which is about the same level as it was in 2000.”
So in short, Blacks who were polled feel that race relations have become worse in this country than the first year Bush II took office.
The Democratic party played the race card to the hilt all throughout the election cycle. If you criticized Obama in any way, you were portrayed as either a “racist” who secretly did not want a Black man in the White House or you were simply an “Uncle Tom”. After Obama won the election, the media was quick to locate racist loons like David Duke (whose opinions never matter to the mainstream in the first place) and ask him for his two cents on Obama. Democrats repeatedly asked the question “Is Obama Black enough?” when Obama was running against Hillary Clinton. Any association with fried chicken with Obama became a few marchers short of launching yet another civil rights movement. Didn’t like the first lady’s fashion picks? You were a mean, bitter person who simply had a hard time dealing with Black women in powerful positions. Didn’t support the stimulus package? It was considered a “…a slap in the face of African-Americans.” Race, race, race. This is all we have been getting from the left since Obama took office. And so again, are we really supposed to be surprised at the results of this poll?
