Okay, let’s take a look at that for a moment.

When the NFL did not have one Black head coach, did that stop Black folks from both watching and participating in the game?

Nope.

How ’bout when the NFL did not have one Black quarterback? Or a single Black referee? Or not one Black commentator calling the game?

You see, I’m old enough to remember all of this, yet I cannot seem to remember the NFL having a hard time recruiting young Black players for the game. Not only that, the NFL back then and today continues to make a killing on licensed items like jerseys, hats and other accessories in the Black community. In other words, we give the NFL money to advertise their product for free (ever thought of it like that?). And we were doing it in a league where at one time Blacks were not seen as good enough to be quarterbacks, head coaches or referees.

Now let’s take a look at Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton (two of the leaders of this phony outrage-fest).

Jesse Jackson called Obama a “Nigga” and said that he wanted to cut his nuts off.
Al Sharpton has never apologized for pushing the false Tawana Brawley rape allegations–even after the truth was revealed. Both Sharpton and Jackson have yet to even offer up an apology for stirring up racial tensions and falsely accusing the Duke lacrosse team of rape with not one strand of evidence to back up their claim. They have done nothing to slow down injustice in this country, yet they continue to profit off of it while getting accolades and praise for just showing up.

Yet, how many kids have you seen wearing a Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton shirt?

The only people making noise about this are those who don’t understand the game and those looking for a controversy–even if they have to make one up.
