Global warming is a straight up front. Here is just one recent example.

MoveOn.org (a political action organization that is heavily funded by George Soros) is on record for being against offshore drilling. He has also worked closely with a similar group, The Sierra Club. During the Presidential campaign last year, the Sierra Club and MoveOn.org put out a series of ads hammering McCain over his support of offshore drilling.

“Cathy Duvall, political director for the Sierra Club, which is co-sponsoring the ad, said expanded drilling is a ‘no-no.’ But she also said environmental groups are ‘incensed’ that major oil companies like ExxonMobil are making ‘obscene’ profits while ‘most people are having difficulty’ in paying out-of-control prices at the pump.

‘As gas prices have skyrocketed, so have oil profits,’ Duvall said, reeling off a list for reporters at a telephone news conference Thursday.

‘Just this week, Big Oil companies — BP, ExxonMobil, Chevron, are reporting yet another quarter of billions in record-breaking profits – actually outstripping even last year’s record profits,’ she said.

‘ConocoPhillips netted $5.4 billion, BP pulled in $9.5 billion and today ExxonMobil and Shell announced profits of $11.68 billion and $11.6 respectively. To put that into perspective, that is about $800 in profit over the course of a year for every driver in America,’ Duvall added.

Sierra Club and MoveOn are pushing people to support Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.), the purported Democratic nominee, Duvall said.

Democrats have blocked building oil refineries.

…while at the same time…

A. The US is lending $2 bill to Brazil’s state-owned oil company, Petrobras. For what???
Offshore drilling.

B. Apparently to Soros (you remember, the same guy who pays big money to groups like MoveOn.org to tell you that offshore drilling is evil), investing in companies who perform offshore drilling is fine.

So Soros finds people who are crazy enough to believe that man has the ability to give the earth a fever, funds the movement which in turn pushes for legislation that greatly impedes oil production here in the US. This results in crippling America to the point where it has to look to companies in HIS portfolio for oil. He knows good and well that there is not one country on the planet that is going to completely abandon oil and turn exclusively to wind and solar power. Even some of the very people pushing the global warming rhetoric don’t believe that one for a minute.
