I’ve said it before and I am gonna keep saying it. The Klan is nowhere near the threat it was to the average person on their hit list (Blacks, Jews, Hispanics, Catholics, Gays, etc.) 40+ years ago. Yet it never fails: a few of them show up to demonstrate, hundreds show up to counter demonstrate with the later group usually being the one who is the most unruly.
I mean, look at this picture. These folks took the time the print out nice signs and fought LA traffic to get there.
If they want to make a freakin’ point to these guys, how ’bout going a few blocks away to skid row and help those folks get their life together. How ’bout convincing kids in that city to stop killing one another?
Yes, I do get a little ticked off at this stuff because I know that many of these same people who make these public stances against racism will walk past at least 20 homeless people to get to their earth friendly hybrid vehicle and drive away until the next demonstration. Not to mention people I know who make a living calling this stuff out will ALWAYS remain silent when this foolishness happens.
Thanks to our “care and concern”, we are making the klan relevant.
