AIDS is an epedemic that is destroying the black community, our black women in particular. One of the most troubling aspects of this issue, in addition to the ones you mention, is the "Down Low Brother." The man who is having sexual contact with other men and is hiding this fact from the women whom he also has sexual contact. I covered this issue in my blog, The African-American Pragmatis, and came to the same conclusion as you--these men need to be honest with themselves and their partners.
