The Justice Department has blocked South Carolina’s voter ID law on the grounds that non-White voters may lack the ability to obtain a photo ID from the state.
“Under the law, anyone who wants to vote but does not have a photo identification must obtain a new voter registration card that includes a photo. A birth certificate or passport can be used to prove identity.
The Justice Department said the requirement could harm the right to vote of tens of thousands of people, noting that just over a third of the state’s minorities who are registered voters did not have a driver’s license needed to cast a ballot.
‘The state’s data demonstrate that non-white voters are both significantly burdened’ by the law and ‘disproportionately unlikely to possess the most common types of photo identification’ needed, Thomas Perez, head of the Justice Department’s civil rights division, said in a letter to the state.”
Those that have been following Blackinformant.com on Facebook know exactly my response to this one. However, allow me to add one other bit of information that apparently race row has skipped in their “OMG! They are trying to take us back to the days of Jim Crow” rants.

SECTION 6. Section 56-1-3350 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 277 of 2010, is further amended to read:
“Section 56-1-3350. (A) Upon application by a person five years of age or older who is a resident of South Carolina, the department shall issue a special identification card as long as:
(1) the application is made on a form approved and furnished by the department; and
(2) the applicant presents to the person issuing the identification card a birth certificate or other evidence acceptable to the department of his name and date of birth.
(B)(1) The fee for the issuance of the special identification card is five dollars for a person between the ages of five and sixteen years.
(2) An identification card must be free to a person aged seventeen years or older.
(C) The identification card expires five years from the date of issuance.
(D) Special identification cards issued to persons under the age of twenty-one must be marked, stamped, or printed to readily indicate that the person to whom the card is issued is under the age of twenty-one.

So to recap, the card is $5 for kids between the ages of 5-16 (under the legal voting age). The ID card is FREE for people 17 yrs or higher. Not only that, the state has also written in it’s law that they will send out teams to educate the electorate on the changes.
So who in their right mind can compare this to Jim Crow? Some time ago I talked about how some Black talking heads in DC and the media have rented out bad memories of the Black experience in this country to their favorite political party.
On the flip, all over the country we have people in mostly urban areas literally standing in line for HOURS for a pair of $180 sneakers. Cut in line? You get cut. Somehow, some way they heard about these sneakers, made sure they had transportation to get to the store EARLY, stood in long lines for hours, literally fought their way into the story, reached into their wallets and magically pulled out almost $200, and by God’s grace, made it out of the store.
But to ask the same people to put forth at least 10% of that effort towards getting a FREE state-issued ID card? Nah! Too burdensome for these weak-minded people.
“But I heard that this voter ID law would pose as a problem for the elderly who oftentimes may not have all the documents needed to have an ID issued to them.”
Again, take the time and read the dang law.
“(b) If an elector does not produce a valid and current photograph identification because the elector suffers from a reasonable impediment that prevents the elector from obtaining photograph identification, he may complete an affidavit under the penalty of perjury at the polling place and affirm that the elector: (i) is the same individual who personally appeared at the polling place; (ii) cast the provisional ballot on election day; and (iii) the elector suffers from a reasonable impediment that prevents him from obtaining photograph identification. The elector also shall list the impediment, unless otherwise prohibited by state or federal law. Upon completion of the affidavit, the elector may cast a provisional ballot. The affidavit must be submitted with the provisional ballot envelope and be filed with the county board of registration and elections before certification of the election by the county board of canvassers.
(2) If the county board of registration and elections determines that the voter was challenged only for the inability to provide proof of identification and the required affidavit is submitted, the county board of registration and elections shall find that the provisional ballot is valid unless the board has grounds to believe the affidavit is false.”
But what if they cannot speak English?
Ahh! If they are an adult, there is a big chance they may not be here legally in the first place. That is what the law is trying to prevent.
Allow me to inject some more honesty here. The main and ONLY reason why Democrats hate this law is because it hinders their ability to easily push illegals to vote for them. Here you have an entire population of people who not only understands our language, but lack the ability to comprehend all the issues both parties stand for because of it. Think of all the laws you can pass with a population that cannot read or speak English. Heck, even most of us English-speakers barely read any of these laws.
That is the end game, folks. The whole “Jim Crow” meme was rented to the Dems for them to use to make the case for illegals who should not be voting in our elections. That’s like me going down to Mexico and participating in their election process. I mean, really!
There arem’t too many race row stories that fire me up these days. But pass me a story that attempts to make the case that Black folks are too stupid to complete simple tasks and I will gladly light it up.
There are those out there who benefit greatly by keeping Black folks in the land of misfit toys. From bogus studies, ridiculous comparisons to other cultures, and now our ability to perform simply tasks (like getting a FREE state ID card). Santa government has no interest in saving us from the land of misfit toys. Instead, he is only using Black and Hispanic voters to justify the myth that he actually cares. And each and every year he leaves us coal in our stockings (empty promises). But don’t worry. His elves in the media are they to convince you that it is pure gold.
