Good grief! The look on that kids face almost makes me want to buy him an X-Box.
I’m with you, I’m the prankster here at home and I would soooo do that, but only if I had the actual X-Box stashed near by ready to hand over.

I’m the prankster too. I also would make sure I had it hid somewhere. Mom needs to be *slapped (the woman with the camera too)! I sure hope there’s a part two. But even if he ended up getting it, when the tears started rolling, it was time to stop.

Yeah, for real.

Making your own child cry…hilarious.
Filming it just makes it even weirder/meaner.

This is why children are so very confused and hard-hearted.
This is the perfect example poor parenting skills.

What the hell?! What type of mother would do this to their child? I wanted to buy that kid an Xbox. The worst part about it is that you know they’re gonna tease that kid mercilessly and when he’s still pissed/confused/hurt because of this little “joke”, he’s gonna be the one getting in trouble. And the unseen man in the background, who couldn’t stop laughing, needs to have his ass whupped!

I agree with all the preceding comments before mine. I cannot believe that there are still such cruel parents who plot and scheme to bring such sorrow to their own children! The adults in this video should really be ashamed! And yes, filming this cruel trick simply makes it worse! Do they really think that some years from now the child will consider this trick to be be funny? The look of hurt on the child’s face deeply touched my heart and I only wish that I too, could buy and send an XBox or any gaming system he wanted. The so-called “adults” here will surely get what’s coming to them for purposefully taking what could have been a joyous moment and making it a sad one. It’s not what Christmas is about!

Cold. Still, I suppose its better than packing the clothing in case that held Chivas or Crown Royal. That would really be criminal ;->

Oh, this is terrible. I agree I would have not done this unless I had the real thing hidden somewhere to give to the kid. Making your own kid cry while opening his presents and filming it, wow, I would love to throttle the parents!

I immediately thought of “A Christmas Story”, where Darren McGavin plays the right kind of practical joke on his kid.
As an earlier poster said, there’s got to be a second part where the xbox comes out. But regardless, doing this and posting it (!) is terrible parenting.

If you look at the actual YouTube Page, the guy who posted the video (the blond kid is his brother) was being punished for sneaking a look at his presents when he was expressly told not to. The parents did buy the XBox, but put clothes in the XBox box to trick him. They gave him the XBox later that day.
