Well, blackinformant.com had its biggest day in traffic evah. My post “Are You Smarter Than A 1954 8th Grader?” was first picked up by Purple Avenger over at Ace’s house. Few other sites picked it up after that until finially I checked my stats last evening and see that I was just over 80,000 hits. Thinking that perhaps my site was getting attacked, I called my hosting company and we both noticed that much of the traffic was not coming from some non-descript location overseas, but right here in the US. Then we later found the source: Digg.
He told me that it is called “The Digg Effect”. When I checked, sure enough my link was the top link under “Political Opinion” yesterday. I ended the day with just over 103,000 unique visitors.
