(singersroom.com) 50 cent, who pays $25,000 a month in child support and household expenses, might have to get a bigger check. Shaniqua Tompkins, the mother of his 10-year-old son, says the current amount is not enough.
The parents of young Marquise Jackson are wrangling over the issue in family court in this Long Island community, where 50 Cent arrived Friday in an armored SUV equipped with a satellite dish. (more…)
The sad thing is, Fitty ain’t the only one who is getting played like this.

Women like that are pathetic. I heard that there are certain states that’ll up the child support as the payer’s wages increase. Maybe NY is one of them.
I think it’s really sad to demand that much. I understand that Marquise is not the average child w/ regards to who his father is, but $25K/month is an exhorbitant amount.

It’s not enough FOR HER. The child has enough, more than enough. Child support is for the child, not for their mother’s want to be lavish lifestyle.

$300,000.00 per year provides a nice upper-middle classed income and lifestyle, which the child is entitled to, given who his father is.

Whoa wait a minute there. Sure $300K is a lot of money, but this is child support and not “family income/support.†I would also call that more than upper middle class living.
For the record $300K is just too much money for child support. He should get custody of the child and I am willing to bet that he wouldn’t get $1K a month in cs from her.

He could always petition for custody of the child. Then he wouldn’t have to pay her anything.

I would have a real hard time burning through 25G’s/month on a regular basis even if I tried hard to do it.

Depending on the size of your house you could prolly spend $10K per month maintaining it–yard, heating/cooling, phone, internet, gas, upkeep, insurance, mortgage.
And you still haven’t fed and clothed the boy yet, or paid for all his activities and hobbies, or bought him his jewelry. He prolly sits courtside at sporting events, they don’t clip coupons in the grocery store or wait for sales, throwback jerseys can really set you back, sneakers, iPods, cellphones, video games, flat screens, computers, gold/platinum/diamond encrusted teeth, bullet-proof vests, haircuts and other grooming accessories, tattoos, and the regular medical and dental expenses.
Somebody has to have a car around there. I got a feeling 50’s son ain’t rolling in a Honda Civic.
Then add his monthly allowance for making it rain, I dunno, around $80K, and is it any wonder the mother needs more money?
