“Bill” over at the blog “Jewels in the Jungle” (based in Germany) will be doing a series of posts on Black history in Germany. As a history buff myself, I will be closely following this series.

Thanks for the Hat Tip Duane. Now you’ve gone and done it.

Lots of people back home in the States are going to be looking at this series of posts on the history of blacks in Germany (& Europe) and making me all nervous and stuff. Plus I’ll have to watch my grammar in case Ms. Smith (my 4th grade teacher) is still alive and online tracking down her students overseas…:-)

Ms. Smith taught us everything we needed to know about the history and literature and culture of Europe. She was a loving and very intelligent African-American elementary school teacher at a historical predominately black public school near St. Louis, MO.

I (we) will work really hard over here to make this interesting for the audience back home. Thanks again.

I have joined Bill and try to bring Black History Month to Germany

Our celebration of Black History Month focuses on Afro-German artists.
